Last weekend, the Right Honourable Winston Peters addressed a standing-room only crowd of young families and super gold card holders at the Greerton Village Community Hall in Tauranga.
Mr. Peters emphasised the need for more cooperation among the different political parties represented in the House and a back to basicsapproach with a healthy dose of practical, common sense policies.
New Zealand must return to policies that treat everyone equally. We must educate, train and employ our own people first and give them priorities for jobs - instead of bringing in tens of thousands of foreign workers.
We must return to sensible economic policies that concentrate on exports and finished goods. We must return to owning our land and resources. We must rebuild our country on solid social and economic foundations that place New Zealand and New Zealanders first.
This is why New Zealand First will be critical in this next election.
In our Party's twenty-two years, we have shown the courage and commitment to fight for what is best for New Zealand and New Zealanders. We have stood firm against the onslaught of opposition. And we have successfully introduced common sense into many government policies.
More needs doing. And so we stand at the ready to do more, much more, in order to rebuild our once great country.
