A child on a bike has been involved in a crash with a vehicle in Matua.

Police were called to the scene on Levers Rd by St John Ambulance staff at 4.17pm.

A police media spokeswoman said the child appeared to be okay.

She said a parent was there at the time, and they spoke to the driver of the vehicle, before letting them go.
