Child assault alleged

A Tauranga man has been accused of assaulting his 5-year-old son on the Main Mount Beach. It was alleged that he repeatedly threw sand in the youngster's face.
In the Tauranga District Court, Harley Robson, 37, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a child. Robson, who is to be sentenced on January 14 for three unrelated assault charges, was bailed to live at Break Through Family Ministries.
Robson is banned from having unsupervised visits with his children while the matter is before the court. He will re-appear on January 14.
