Cause of Tauranga's Brookfield house fire still unknown

Investigations continue into yesterday's house fire in Brookfield.

A fire investigator was this morning at the scene on Regent St.

A Fire and Emergency spokesman said the fire was not being treated as suspicious at this stage, however, the cause was not immediately known.

Yesterday a Fire and Emergency shift manager said reports of a house fire started coming in at 3.31pm.

Firefighters arrived to a "well involved" house fire, about 100 square metres in size and set to work with a "high-pressure delivery".

No people were reported to be in the home.
