Fire service check the rolled car now back on its wheels and the parked car with its damaged bonnet
A car has lost control and rolled in Mount Maunganui this afternoon, smashing the bonnet of a parked car.
Police and fire fighters were called to the Hull Rd scene shortly before 4pm.
Constable Wiese said it was too early to tell the exact cause of the incident, but policewould be reviewing camera footage of the road as part of their investigation.
Mr Wiese said it appeared that someone had lost control of their car, hit the kerb and rolled.
Owner of the parked car Brenda McIvor said she was inside a building when someone came running up to her to tell her to look out the window.
