A car has hit a fence and ended up on the front lawn of a Katikati property metres from a house.

Police were called to the incident on Middlebrook Drive about 8.50pm, a police spokeswoman said.

It appeared the vehicle had gone into a fence and potentially part of a house, she said.

One person was moderately injured.
