Car and truck involved in Bayfair, Mount Maunganui crash

Police are at the scene of a crash involving a car and a truck near Bayfair.

A reporter at the scene said the incident was on Maunganui Rd outside the Omanu Golf Club.

She said the vehicles were pulled over to the side of the road but traffic heading past the crash towards Hewletts Rd was moving slowly.

A police spokesman said officers were called to the scene at 1.09pm.

One lane was initially blocked.
