Healthcare and social welfare were the two resounding subjects Bay of Plenty Times readers would spend money on if they were in charge of this year's Budget, which will be announced this afternoon.
On the Bay of Plenty Times Facebook page we asked people what they were prefer to spendmoney on, and the responses were many.
Drug testing for people receiving benefits and easier access to healthcare dominated in people's answers.
Many people wanted to see cheaper dentistry and doctor fees, especially for children. Others referred to housing for homeless, fixing the property bubble and providing more funding for emergency services.
Melissa Reid posted: ''Funding for dentistry, mole checks to help stop so much sun cancers, our sun is harsh. And for child poverty, education to help people look after their money.''
Donna Mcleod posted: ''Help out the rescuing services and ensure they have everything they need. How is it that two of the most needed careers are mostly voleenter, we would be screwed without the fire bridge or paramedics/ambulance service but yet they rely on donations and volunteers. It's crazy''
