Bryan Adams is coming to Tauranga.

The Canadian rocker will play at ASB Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui on January 5 as part of his Get Up world tour.

Adams will play at three other New Zealand venues - Matakana, New Plymouth and Hawkes Bay.

Adams was last in New Zealand in 2013 as part of his Bare Bones Tour but this is expected to be the first time since 2003 that he will bring his full band with him.

Kiwi artists Dave Dobbyn and the Jordan Luck Band have been announced as support acts.

Adams rose to fame in 1983 with the album Cuts Like a Knife, followed by his LP Reckless which included one of his most famous songs, Summer of '69. In 1991 he topped charts around the world with (Everything I do) I Do It For You.

He has since gone on to various collaborations with Sting, Rod Stewart and Melanie C of Spice Girls fame.

The world tour follows the release of Adams' 2015 album Get Up, produced by Jeff Lynne from E.L.O.
