A train that broke down on a Mount Maunganui railway crossing this afternoon has now been moved.
The train was blocking the crossing near the roundabout on Hewletts Rd/Maunganui Rd/Golf Rd.
Shortly after 3.30pm, the police said the train had been moved and the crossing was now clear.
"Police would
like to thank motorists in the area for their patience and co-operation."
Earlier, the police asked motorists to take alternative routes.
