For over 50 years the National Jazz Festival has entertained residents and visitors to the Bay of Plenty.
Like all events, behind the scenes volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the Festival lives up to its world class reputation.
For the fourth year in a row, students from Bay of Plenty
Polytechnic's Certificate in Radio Broadcasting class will join the organising team and volunteer their time and skills around the city.
Radio student Jordan Hudson is thrilled to be involved. "It's an incredible experience being part of such a well known NZ music event," says Jordan.
"We get a bird's eye view of how the whole thing works and how everyone has their individual roles within the festival which helps bring it together as a whole."
