A breakdown has slowed the morning commute for those travelling along State Highway 29A near Welcome Bay.
The Bay of Plenty Times understands the breakdown happened between Welcome Bay Rd and Poike Rd.
A police media spokeswoman confirmed there had been a breakdown along the highway.
