This 1980 Seacraft Costa Mesa 16ft fibreglass boat 'Nikdantay' was stolen from Evans Rd, Papamoa at 12.50am Wednesday. Photo/Supplied

A Papamoa family are calling for help finding their boat which was stolen from the side of their house this week.

The 1980 Seacraft Costa Mesa 16ft fibreglass boat named 'Nikdantay' and 1980 galvanised trailer was stolen on Tuesday.

The boat had a Johnson Evinrude 115hp outboard and a silver cover.

The unique name 'Nikdantay' is written on both sides of the boat, alongside a small black dolphin.

The registration number of the trailer is K759 and the serial number on the Johnson Evinrude 115hp outboard is A1357554.
