A motorcyclist has been seriously hurt in a crash at one of Tauranga's busiest intersections.
Calls to police reported the motorcyclist had gone through the windscreen of a car in the collision, which happened about 4.10pm at the roundabout of State Highway 29 and Cameron Rd.
Western Bay of Plentyhead of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said police were still at the intersection, known as Barkes Corner.
The crash follows the fatal collision near Te Puke earlier today.
A man was killed in a head-on collision near Manoeka Rd about 2.30pm. Te Puke Highway is expected to be closed for some time.
