The big sporting weekend is upon us.

The Mount Festival of Multisport, triathlons, provincial sevens rugby, national beach volleyball and ocean swims are all part of this weekend's spectacular centred at Mount Maunganui.

6am-2.30pm Port of Tauranga Half, Pilot Bay

-Beach volleyball

9am-4.30pm Bay of Plenty Times NZ Beach Volleyball Champs, Main Mount Beach

-Drifting

11am, National Drifting Championship, ASB Baypark Stadium

-Fun run

3.30pm-4.30pm Jetts Dash for Cash, Pilot Bay

-Sevens

9am-6pm, Bay of Plenty Provincial Sevens Tournament, Blake Park

-Tennis

Western Bay Tennis Seniors 35+ Tournament, Tauranga Lawn

-Swimming

2.15pm, Classic Builders Bridge to Bridge Swim, Harbour Bridge to Matapihi Bridge

Sunday January 10

7am-10.30am TRI NZ Tag Team Champs (national champs) and TRI Short Course Pilot Bay

-Ocean swim

9.30am Round the Mount swim, Pilot Bay to Mount Main Beach
