One person critical after Bethlehem medical event

A person is in a critical condition after a medical incident in Bethlehem.

Hato Hone St John said it sent an ambulance, a rapid response unit and an operations manager to Carmichael Rd at 8.05am. Crews treated one patient before taking them to Tauranga Hospital, a spokesperson said.

A Bethlehem Primary School office administrator said a person reportedly collapsed in front of the school.

Although no roads were closed, parents were being directed to use an alternative entrance.

Police said they were asked to help paramedics.
