One person has been taken to hospital following a crash near Pāpāmoa.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6.40am after reports that a vehicle had crashed on Gloucester Rd.

A police spokesperson said early indication are that a vehicle has rolled.

“One person was taken to hospital.”

Police reported that the eastbound lane was blocked, but is now reported to be clear.

Hato Hone St John responded to the crash with one ambulance, one rapid response unit, and two operations managers attended.

A spokesperson confirmed that one person was taken to Tauranga Hospital in serious condition.

Meanwhile, a single vehicle crash was partially blocking State Highway 2, near Wairoa Pa Rd in Bethlehem earlier today.

Police were called to the crash at 6.20am.

“There are no reports of injuries,” a police spokesperson said.

Police said the road was blocked, but was reported to be open at 9.15am.
