Five Western Bay of Plenty restaurants have been awarded for their excellence in serving beef and lamb.
The Atrium, Tauranga; Bravo, Tauranga; Elizabeth Café & Larder, Tauranga; Latitude 37, Mount Maunganui; and Mount Bistro, Mount Maunganui, have each been named recepients of the 2014 Beef & Lamb Excellence Award.
Theprestigious award is only given to restaurants whose beef and lamb cuisine reaches the highest standard of New Zealand fine dining.
Diners will be able to identify eateries which have reached the standard by the gold rimmed presentation plate which will be hanging in the restaurant.
To receive the New Zealand Beef & Lamb Excellence Award, restaurants are judged on all elements of their dishes from composition to taste, degree of cooking and tenderness.
