A Bay of Plenty Lotto player has taken home nearly $30,000 on a winning ticket sold on MyLotto. Photo/ File

A Lotto player from the Bay of Plenty has won nearly $30,000 in Powerball Second Division.

The winning ticket was sold online at MyLotto and the player took home $27,928 in Wednesday night's Lotto draw.

Another winning Powerball Second Division MyLotto ticket was sold to a player from Waikato who won the same amount.

Six other Lotto players from around the country won $22,438 each with Lotto Second Division.

The winning Second Division tickets were sold at:

• Pak N Save Mangere (x2)
•Countdown Pukekohe South
•MyLotto (x2) Waikato
•MyLotto Bay of Plenty
•New World Masterton
•Timaru Pak N Save
