Bay of Plenty MP and Health Minister Tony Ryall will farewell Parliament with a valedictory speech today.

Mr Ryall will speak this late this afternoon in the House of Representatives.

Mr Ryall's political peers have got into the spirit of the occasion by donning loud and colourful shirt and tie combos in honour of the flamboyant Minister.

MP Simon Bridges posted a picture of himself on Instagram this morning in a purple pin-stripe shirt with pink and purple floral tie with the line ''All sorted for tony Ryall's valedictory this afternoon''.

Social Devlopment Minister Paula Bennett posted a picture of herself on Twitter with an oversized purple and white tie with the line ''happy Tony Ryall Day''!
