Bay barista makes NZ semifinals

Coffee barista Shine Kim from the Dry Dock Cafe on Wharf St has gone through to the semifinals of the New Zealand Barista Championship.

The semifinal is being held in Wellington today.

Dry Dock Cafe owner Sandra Johnson said ms Kim's achievements so far had been fantastic.

It was the first time she had entered the competition.

Mrs Johnson said everybody at the cafe were very proud of her because of all the hard work she had put in.
