Back-to-back transfers from Tauranga Hospital to Waikato Hospital for Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter

The Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter carried out two hospital transfers back to back on Friday.

Both patients were airlifted from Tauranga Hospital to Waikato Hospital for specialist treatment.

The first was at 2.30pm for a 71-year-old man with a serious cardiac condition.

On return to base, the helicopter was called out again, this time for a 55-year-old man with a cardiac condition.
