Mystery surrounds the circumstances of a stolen car found on fire this morning in Te Puke.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said firefighters were called to the vehicle that was ablaze at 6am on Kaituna River Rd.
Firefighters did not see anyone around when they arrived at the
scene and nothing else was damaged, he said.
Police were called just before 6am to find a the car set alight was stolen.
No arrests were made and police are making enquiries into the incident.
