Police are treating a car fire in Tauranga as suspicious.

Police and Fire and Emergency NZ were called to the fully engulfed car on Anne Rd in Bellevue around 11.20pm yesterday.

Tauranga City Council was notified to remove the vehicle.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and police are making inquiries.
