Tree falls on house in Katikati

Some Katikati residents likely had a rude awakening this morning after a tree fell on their house.

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said crews had been called out to an address on Main Rd just after 7am.

Nobody was injured and crews were working with the owners to remove the tree.

A strong wind watch was issued for the Bay Of Plenty from 6pm last night through to 11am this morning.
