The Wairoa Bridge will be closed from 7pm to 5am for the next two nights. Photo / File

Night-owl motorists travelling over the Wairoa River Bridge tonight or tomorrow night can expect delays as roadworks take place.

According to the New Zealand Transport Agency, the works will be undertaken between Taniwha Pl and Te Puna Station Rd from 7pm tonight to 5am tomorrow.

The same works will also take place tomorrow night.

Stop and go traffic management will be in place.
