Firefighters are attending a fire in the roof of a Gate Pā house.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said firefighters were notified of the fire on Jubilee St at about 5.30pm today.

She said a small fire had started in the roof of a house and the damage was not extensive.

She said three fire trucks were on scene and there was no indication that anyone was injured.
