Fire investigator on scene of Greerton blaze

A fire investigator is currently at the site of a fire that broke out near an office building in Greerton last night.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said fire services were called to a property on Maleme St last night about 9pm.

It was initially reported as an office building alight, but this was seen to be a barbecue on fire when services arrived, she said.
