Electric scooter rider to hospital after crash with car in Tauranga

An electric scooter rider is being taken to hospital after a collision with a car in central Tauranga.

A police media spokeswoman said a car and electric scooter had collided on Cameron Rd between Fourth and Fifth avenues.

Police were called to the scene about 10.10am.

The scooter rider had minor to moderate injuries.

The collision happened in the northbound lane, but traffic was not blocked.
