Two cars have crashed at an intersection in Omanawa, north of Tauranga.

Police were called at 8.45am to a crash at the intersection of State Highway 29 and Omanawa Road, a spokesman said.

There was no suggestion of serious injury to the drivers of either car. An ambulance had been called to check them over.
