Roads blocked after crash on Fraser St, car breakdown on Takitimu Dr

One southbound lane is blocked between Elizabeth St and the Waihi Rd offramp.

Traffic was crawling on Takitimu Drive following a car breakdown that blocked a lane earlier this evening.

A police spokeswoman said a caller at 5.45pm had reported a car missing a wheel was blocking the left southbound lane between the intersections at Elizabeth St and the Waihi Rd off-ramp.

She said traffic could pass but was having to merge so was moving slowly.

Police were at the scene awaiting the arrival of a jack, leaving about 6.50pm.

Meanwhile, Fraser St near Greerton was briefly blocked after a collision between two cars and a motorcycle.

The police spokeswoman said an early responder had reported there appeared to be no serious injuries and everyone was out of their vehicles.

The crash happened about 5.45pm between Roys Rd and Yatton St. The road was still blocked as of 6.10pm.
