Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter sent to Matakana Island

The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Matakana Island today.

A 26-year-old man has been taken to Tauranga Hospital by Tauranga's rescue helicopter.

The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Matakana Island today, where a local man had collapsed. He was stabilised at the scene before being flown to Tauranga Hospital for assessment and treatment.

Yesterday, the rescue helicopter was sent to Whangamata where a 63-year-old man suffered a medical emergency. He was flown on a rapid response flight to Waikato Hospital for treatment.
