Otumoetai swimmer Tarquin Magner smashes record set by Rio Olympian

Tarquin Magner from the Otumoetai club broke a national record in the boys' 13 years, 100m backstroke at the national short course championships under way at the Sir Owen G Glenn National Aquatic Centre on the North Shore.

Magner's time of 59.37sec broke the record previously held by Rio Olympian Corey Main that had stood since 2008.
