The return of the Clash of the Corporates 7 is likely to see the full house sign put out at the QE2 Youth Centre on Saturday night.

The highly successful event, staged by TGA Box Health and Fitness principal and renowned boxing coach Chris Walker, will feature 13 corporate bouts and two professional contests. Eight weeks of intense training at the TGA Box Gym, will culminate in the mainly first-timers in the ring.

The growth of women's boxing in recent years is reflected in five female bouts on the night, and five heavyweight contests are sure to have fight fans out of their seats, as the big boys engage in head-to-head action.

Two of the professional warriors that fight out of the Tauranga Boxing Club will headline the night at the QE2 Youth Centre.

Gunnar "The Stunna" Jackson has a distinguished career in the ring, that encompasses nearly 40 bouts, since turning pro in 2010. He never shirks a serious challenge and has been in the ring with a former world champion and a potential world titleholder.

Jackson went the distance with former world champion Anthony Mundine in Brisbane in early 2014. In 2015 he received a late notice call-up to fight 2012 Olympic champion RyotaMurata in Las Vegas. Jackson showed plenty of courage to go the distance with a boxer that fight critics are predicting will win a world title in the near future.

On Saturday evening, Jackson will square off with Iraq-born Sivan Hermez, who has been in the ring with a who's who of top-line Kiwi professional boxers in his 17-bout career.

"Gunnar is stepping up two weight divisions against a boxer who will try to constantly apply pressure throughout the bout, which should make for an entertaining bout," Walker said.

"Gunnar has a fight against unbeaten Shay Brock in November, with the contest with Hermez the ideal lead-in to another big occasion for our boxer."

An 18-month break from boxing will end for Anthony "TNT" Taylor when he climbs into the ring on Saturday night.

"Ants could face a real challenge when he meets Nick Hikuroa in six rounds of welterweight action. Nick has an aggressive style and any ring-rust shown by Anthony could be severely tested, with fireworks likely to break out during the bout," Walker said.
