Police officers cordoned off a section of Welcome Bay Rd this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said they were executing a routine search warrant at a nearby house.
The cordon was reportedly east of the hot pools, in the vicinity of Ngapeke Rd, and motorists reported not being able to get
through.
The spokeswoman said just before 3.30pm that police were wrapping up the search.
