Ditch four wheels for two tomorrow for national Go By Bike Day. Photo/file

Tomorrow is national Go By Bike Day - where residents are encouraged to ditch the car and hop of a bike to get to school or work.

In Tauranga, Sport Bay of Plenty would set up pit stops, with refreshments and prizes, to help cyclists on their way.

The pit stops would be open from 6.45am to 8.45am.

Pit stops would be located at:
Red Square
Cameron Rd opposite Tauranga Boys' College
Corner of Chapel St and Maxwells Rd
Opposite the Salt Marsh Reserve in Otumoetai
Omanu Bowling Club carpark on Golf Rd
Harbour Bridge
Reserve at the corner of Park Rd and Beach Rd opposite Katikati College
Avantiplus on Totara St in Mount Maunganui
