A car and motorbike have collided on the intersection of 11th Ave and St John St in Tauranga, leaving one motorist with moderate to serious injuries.
Police responded to the crash just before 4pm, a spokeswoman said.
Ambulance were also on scene, treating the motorcyclist before they were taken to
the hospital in a serious condition.
There was some traffic congestion building up and the road was down to one lane.
"Traffic is still flowing through and both lanes will probably be open in the next 15 minutes."
