Tauranga locals keen to get in on $30 million Lotto action

Tauranga Lotto punters are hoping to win the jackpot , with $30 million up for grabs in tomorrow night's draw.

Lotto Powerball jackpotted after the $27 million prize draw was not struck on Wednesday.

Merivale Peter Pan Superette manager Arshdeep Singh said they had seen double the number of people coming through to buy their ticket.

"A lot of people have come to get their ticket."

He said the busiest time for customers to get their ticket would be between 4-7pm tomorrow.

Gate Pa Superette worker Satnam Singh said he had seen a lot of new faces coming through the doors in the lead up to the draw.

He hoped they would sell the winning ticket.

Linda Zeng at AJ's Lotto on Devonport Rd said they had been "very busy" with customers buying tickets for the draw.

There were three First Division winners in Wednesday's Lotto draw, with one sold at Tauranga's Aj's Lotto shop. They won $333,333 each.
