At the soft opening at Papamoa Plaza this morning Tank juicebar, Spark and Omnitech were the first to open for business. We did a walk through to see the flurry of activity as the other food outlets and stores get ready to open.

At the soft opening at Papamoa Plaza this morning Tank juicebar, Spark and Omnitech were the first to open for business.

The official opening would not be until November 27, where a whole new food court and the new stores would be officially unveiled.

Acquisitions, a unique gift ware shop, and the food outlets including Hot Wok, Great Spice, Zad Kebabs, Burger Foundry Bay of Plenty, Pita Pit and Smile Sushi would open gradually in the weeks leading up to the official opening.

Inside the food court area there was table seating for 370 people plus a cabana-style seating area for an extra 24 diners.

This was all part of Stage one of a $20 million redevelopment of Papamoa Plaza.
