Blessing and sod turning event for new cycle walkway bridge on SH29 near the corner Poike Rd.

The section of State HIghway 29A between the Harini and Poike roundabouts will be closed overnight, due to the placement of a 46 metre over bridge.

The road would be closed from 7pm Saturday to 7am Sunday, due to the new pedestrian bridge being put in place.

There would be a detour for light vehicles through Ohauiti Rd and Poike Rd, and trucks can detour through Turret Rd, 15th Ave and Cameron Rd.

It would also be closed from 7pm October 1 to Sunday October 2.

The over bridge would connect Ohauiti with the Waiariki Bay of Plenty campus.
