Police raided a house in Merivale today, and arrested a person for burglary. Photo/file

A person has been arrested following a raid on a Merivale property today.

Police swooped on a Harrier Rd property about 10.30am.

A nearby resident told the Bay of Plenty Times he saw police raiding the house after about four cars arrived.

The man said he saw people being taken away by police.

Police were also seen carrying objects out of the house and towing a car away.

A police spokeswoman said police were executing a search warrant and arrested one man for burglary.
