Save Last night the Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Matakana Is where a 32-year-old local man was having trouble breathing.
His breathing issues were a result of an ongoing injury suffered while playing rugby.
The man was flown to Tauranga hospital for treatment.
The flight was conducted with the
use of Night vision equipment.
The helicopter was tasked because of access difficulties for ambulance at night to the Island.
