Barcelona Soccer Excellence are visiting the Bay of Plenty this September and October to run three day training camps for the region's top youth football talent.
Barcelona Soccer Excellence led by former Barcelona youth player Diego Gomez and his team of UEFA licensed coaches that are based in Spain and the US, will visit Tauranga and Rotorua as part of the newly formed Premier Football Partnerships with local New Zealand coach Matt Campbell.
Barcelona Soccer Excellence have a presence in Spain, USA and China and will visit
New Zealand for the first time.
"We are excited to provide unique opportunities to young footballers in New Zealand," Campbell said, who is the General Manager of a Football Development Programme in Nelson/West Coast.
"To get an organisation of this calibre with their group of UEFA A licenced coaches involved is a real coup for the programme and the region.
"The programme is open to all football players between the ages of 9 to 17, both male and female, but we have only 64 places available in each so space is limited to ensure we give each student quality time with our coaches."
The Barcelona Soccer Excellence coaching clinics are in Rotorua September 29 and October 1 at Rotorua Boys' High School and in Tauranga october 3 to October 5 at Tauranga Boys' College.
