Tauranga kids keep fit during the school holidays with a visit to the Atheletics Factory.

Testing for the new Athlete Factory Academy to be launched in Term 3 for intermediate and college athletes was held yesterday at the purpose-built indoor facilities located in Aerodrome Rd.

Nearly 80 budding young athletes took the opportunity to find out what their physical capabilities are.

Each athlete that joins the academy will have a specific programme created to suit their individual needs under the coaching team led by Gareth Ashton.

Bay of Plenty Times chief photographer John Borren snapped these youngsters in the action.
