Another Tauranga dairy has been robbed - the city's second within 24 hours.

Police are at 14th Ave Dairy, which has been closed to public this afternoon as police officers speak to people inside.

A reporter at the scene said the shop had been robbed.

Police have confirmed two men entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes from the shop assistant, taking some cash. However, the offenders fled the scene before police arrived.

At least three police cars were at the dairy.

The robbery comes less than 24 hours after the aggravated robbery of a dairy on Cameron Rd last night.

Two mask-wearing men armed with a hammer targeted the Cameron Rd Dairy at 5.26pm yesterday.

The offenders took a small amount of cash and some tobacco.

Nine days ago, a masked offender held a woman working at the Brookfield Superette in Jude Place at gunpoint. He demanded cash from the woman, who refused and accused him of using a fake gun.

More soon.
