Papamoa homes without water

Homes in Papamoa are without water this morning.

Tauranga City Council has stated there has been a major leak on Bermuda Rd.

Contractors are working on a repair to the leak but homes in the surrounding area are expected to be without water until about 9am.

The repairs are currently underway in the Bermuda Drive roundabout where contractors have excavated to acces the 150mm water main that has cracked.

Homes affected by the water shutdown are: 370-462 Papamoa Beach Road (evens only), Bermuda Drive, Mauritius Key and Maldives Way.
