A disappointed crowd at the Omokoroa Future Focus Meeting were told by Simon Bridges to "watch this space", after questions concerning the roads in the area.
The Omokoroa Settler's Hall was packed with people who had come to hear solutions to their transport woes, however they were told by MrBridges they were "not quite at that stage".
Safety measures such as adding a roundabout on Te Puna Rd were announced by NZTA Principal Transport Planner Mark Hasley, to "improve safety".
However this was met by a member of the public who said it would make the traffic "a bloody-sight slower too".
The announcements included the construction of the Tauranga Northern Link and the construction of roading between Te Puna and Omokoroa.
