Three Bay youths will have the opportunity to attend the next Youth Parliament to be held in the Parliamentary Buildings on July 19 and 20, 2016.
Tauranga is in a very unique position, because three MPs means three Tauranga youths between the ages of 16 and 18 will head down to Wellington next year to represent the Bay.
"I'm keen to hear from passionate young people, ready to engage our community and represent them in Parliament," Clayton Mitchell, List MP for New Zealand First said.
Selected Youth MPs will have the opportunity to debate legislation, sit on select committees and ask oral questions of Ministers.
All Youth MPs will participate in a tenure period which will start in January 2016 and conclude with Youth Parliament in July 2016.
