Construction of a walkway and cycleway along the Tauranga side of the Wairoa River has moved a step closer by a survey to define the esplanade boundary between the river bank and private property.

The cycleway from Omokoroa to Tauranga was planned to be re-routed to allow the option of linking into the riverside path to Miles Lane.
