The Prime Minister's Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award was presented to Otumoetai Intermediate this morning.

The prestigous award was delivered and handed over by Kerikeri High School.

The purpose of the hikoi was to offer the award to Otumoetai because the school were join winners for 2014.

Otumoetai Intermediate principal Henk Popping said he was pleased with how well his school had done, and paid tribute to his students' efforts over the course of the year.

Kerikeri High School principal Elizabeth Forgie said they were happy to be able to bring the award down in person and be part of the ceremony, held at Otumoetai this morning.
